Karen Barski, RN
Director of Ketamine Services | Psychedelic Integrationist
Karen is a registered nurse with 30 years of experience, resides and works in Boulder, CO. She is dedicated to creating a safe environment for patients to embark on their healing journey and to help shape a new chapter in their lives.
Karen completed her undergraduate studies at St. Vincent’s College of Nursing in Bridgeport, CT, and achieved her BSN in 2004. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Her professional focus has centered around Mental/Behavioral Health and Addiction. In her roles, she has supported patients with medication management, mental and physical assessments, life skills development, small group sessions, and care planning.
Her Ketamine journey began in 2015, almost 16 years after experiencing heartbreaking losses. Despite life's challenges, deep healing work enabled her to overcome suffering and create a new, happier narrative.
Subsequently, she collaborated with a psychiatrist in Hawaii, assisting with Ketamine and psychedelic studies for various conditions. Her role in guiding patients towards deeper healing showcased the immense potential for recovery and a fresh start. She found fulfillment in helping patients move closer to happiness and completeness. Karen believes that healing is a personal and individual journey and is eager to support you along your path.
Beyond her professional life, Karen enjoys a variety of activities including yoga, gardening, live music, travel, art, hiking in and around Boulder, animal rehabilitation, hobby farming, horseback riding, skiing, nature, and spending quality time with her husband, five children, friends, and pets.
